Girls to Women is a branch of Young Women on the Move (YWM). Throughout the year all the YWM branches from schools all over the GTA have worked exceedingly hard in empowering women in every way possible. So as a way of celebrating all girls and women and also a way to close off the 2013-14 school year Young Women on the Move organized a year end celebration event for girls from grades 3-12. This event was held at Camp Robin Hood on the June 11, 2014.

Four members from our club were chosen to attend this event as a reward for all their efforts during the year and of course our mentors Mrs. Pink Grant and Ms. John were there to encourage us through-out as always. During the day we got the opportunity to participate in various events which improved our leadership, team building, and problem solving, skills. Many of these events were also recreational and sporting. Through this experience we not only got to improve our skills and enjoy ourselves, but we also got to give back to other women in the community by sharing our own personal experiences.

It was a great way to close off the school year and we totally enjoyed all the fun events.
