Course Selection Assemblies
It’s that time of the year again, when students look beyond this school year and select the courses they wish to take in 2018-2019. To assist students in making informed decisions, our guidance team will be conducting a series of grade specific assemblies on February 12, 13 and 14. All assemblies will take place in period 2. Students will be presented with information and resources to assist them in their course selection decisions.
Monday February 12 – current grade 10 students. Information from this assembly can be found below:

Course Selection Fair
To assist students further in determining the courses that best suit their needs and goals, SATEC will be holding its annual course selection fair from 8:55 – 9:50 am on Thursday February 15. This is a crucial piece of the research process as the various departmental teaching staff “show off” the courses offered by their departments. Students are encouraged to speak with teachers at the fair and ask questions of them so as to further their understanding of the courses they plan to select.
Period 1 classes will begin at 10 a.m. on that day.
Online Selection of Courses in myBlueprint™ and Submission Deadline
Students will be required to select their courses on myBlueprint™ and return the permission form (generated through myBlueprint™) to their home room teacher by Friday February 23, 2018. Students who do not meet this deadline may find that guidance counsellors have chosen courses on their behalf.
On February 20, 21 and 22 students are welcome to visit room 101 at lunch to have a guidance counsellor assist them with course selection in myBlueprint™.
To logon to myBlueprint™, students should know their OEN number. They will find their OEN on any of their report cards. Here’s a handy guide to get you started:
Students are encouraged to view the 2018-2019 grade specific Course Offerings Guide and use it as a worksheet before entering their choices online.
The majority of our grade 12 students will be moving on after June 2018, but they too must log in to myBlueprint™ and indicate that they are not returning next year. Grade 12 students should bring their attention to the bottom left corner of the grade 12 course offering sheet where they will find the various “not returning” codes to enter into their myBlueprint™account.
