Dear SATEC @ W.A. Porter C.I.,

After enduring two very long flights across the Atlantic and south-east Europe and the Middle East, Connie, myself and our two F1 in schools teams arrived safely in the engaging and cosmopolitan UAE capital of Abu Dhabi. The competition officially begins today at the Ferrari World Pavilion. This is a chance of a lifetime and gives our students the opportunity to test their knowledge, skills and strategies of planning, designing, analyzing, creating, testing and racing their CO2 powered vehicles. Every time I sit with the students I am truly blown away by the level of work that they have put into preparing for this competition. For those new to F1 in schools, the competition simulates the real world of Formula One in so many ways from teamwork to the building and development of the car and this experience will hopefully be very valuable in their careers. If any of you wish to follow the various stages of the competition please go to www.f1inschools.com be sure to cheer for team Bobcat Blazing Arrow and team VeloxF1.

All that is left to say is good luck to both teams and to Connie in the competition. I will try to keep you posted daily on how well we are doing compared to the other 31 teams in the competition.

I would like to wish all of you a great week.

Yours sincerely,

George Mavraganis
Principal
