Manulife Kids Science is now accepting applications for the 2018 Student Advancement in Research (StAR) Internship at SickKids!

The StAR Program is for high school students of Black or Indigenous (First Nation, Inuk, Metis) heritage to observe and participate in cutting-edge research currently underway at SickKids.

It is a six-week paid internship, where students are expected to work full-time as part of a research lab where they will be given the opportunity to take on a small research project with the guidance of their research lab mentor(s).  At the end, students will share what they have learned by presenting their research project at the Research Showcase at SickKids hospital.

The program will take place from July 3, 2018 to August 10, 2018 at SickKids for 5 days/week and 7 hours/day, and students will be paid $14/hour.

In addition, public transportation costs to and from SickKids will also be covered.
